The dynamics of development of the emotion of shame - its role in emotional disturbances 67

Autorka przedstawia przykłady badań nad rozwojem uczucia wstydu sugerujących kluczową rolę
zakłócenia jego regulacji w rozwoju wielu rodzajów zaburzeń osobowości. Podkreśla jednocześnie
konieczność uwzględniania pracy nad tym uczuciem w relacji terapeutycznej.
Summary
This article presents an introduction to the role of shame in developmental psychopathology including
its symptoms, its pathogenesis and its treatment. Shame is conceptualized to be an emotion that is
responsible for the process of socialization, which takes place in the second year of life. A description
of these processes in the early mother-child relationship and mechanisms of the dyadic shame
regulation were formed in order to demonstrate the pathways of shame disregulation development.
The role of this emotion was pointed out in these chosen psychopathologies. Finally, the mechanisms
of shame regulation were presented in a psychotherapeutic context. |
