Zapomniana lekcja Asklepiosa 13
The forgotten lesson of Aesklepios 13
Summary
Can modern psychiatry take a lesson out of the teaching of old Aesklepios? What could he teach us? Do our patients profit out of his lesson? The presented paper focuses on modern psychiatry, with its theories and methods which are still under the influence of another medical tradition, namely those of Hippocrates. On the example of the history of one patient, the paper shows how we can combine these two medical traditions in our practice and how our patients can take benefit from that. |
